The Cape Turf Club is committed to elevating the excitement of horseracing with our rewarding incentives.

We believe in the benefits of incentives to enhance the racing experience for the racing community and contribute positively to our industry’s ecosystem.

RACECAPE INCENTIVE POWERED BY HOLLYWOODBETS

The appearance fee breakdown is made up of the following:

RAIDER RACECAPE INCENTIVES

Visitors will be R10 000 to the owner and R10 000 to the trainer for non-festival meetings during the summer season only.

This increases to R50 000 to the owner and R50 000 to the trainer at a Festival meeting but does not apply to races with stakes in excess of R500 000.

Subsidies for transport and free, stable rental are also offered to out-of-province runners during the Summer Racing Season, which runs from 1 November to 16 March 2025.

CAPE SUMMER FESTIVAL OF CHAMPIONS

Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, located in Cape Town, South Africa, is known for hosting eight prestigious Festival Race Meetings during the Cape Summer Season.

These festival race meetings not only showcase top-class horseracing, but also offer substantial cash incentives to trainers and owners, adding further excitement and reward to these prestigious events during the Cape Summer Season.

The Festival starts on 23 November 2024 with the Cape Punters Cup and builds through December to March, closing off with the Cape Racing Sales Racemeeting.

COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP

The Cape Turf Club remains committed to the innovation and evolution of horseracing, and our various incentive schemes form a part of this vision. Come Summer or Winter, there is no better time to race in the Cape.

There’s a first prize pot of R100 000 at stake, and all Class 4, 5 & C Stakes races qualify. Horses earn points for runs in qualifying races throughout the racing season and are paid out according to their final table position on 31 July. Prizes go up to 20th place with a pay-out of R25 000.

Cape Racing Sales Juveniles

  • The CRS R100 000 bonus is a juvenile bonus stakes incentive for qualifying sale graduates earned for their maiden juvenile win only
  • Bonuses of R100 000 will be paid for the qualifying graduate’s first juvenile maiden win in any maiden and/or juvenile race
  • R75 000 is awarded to the winning owner
  • R25 000 is awarded to the winning vendor. The vendor bonus will be paid out to the vendor from the first Cape Racing Sales auction from which the horse was sold
  • Bonuses are limited to the first 40 juvenile winners
  • The total payout is R4 Million
