Mukund Gujadhur’s recent accomplishments in South African horseracing highlight his passion and commitment to the sport. He celebrated his 51st SA win with THE ABDICATOR and ALLEZ MORRIS over the weekend. The family’s iconic light blue, red chevron, and cap are well-known colours, representing the legacy of the Gujadhur family in horse racing.
THE ABDICATOR (IRE) was expected to win Race 2 over 1000 and he duly obliged, confirming his upward trajectory. He holds an entry for the Grade 1 Jonsson Workwear Computaform Sprint at Turffontein on 6 April, but trainer Brett Crawford was quick to extinguish the hopes of him going for a race of that stature yet. Now that he has sorted out quirks and occasional attitude issues on race day, he has become a profit machine for his followers and there must surely be hopes that he can pick up a feature race this year.
ALLEZ MORIS, ridden by Richard Fourie, won Race 7 for trainer Brett Crawford. He will win a few more races based on that performance. Always blessed with ability, he finally got back to winning ways after a mostly stop-start career due to heart strain.
