Entering the South African horseracing scene roughly in 2008, Lady Christine Laidlaw has enjoyed some big race successes with many good horses over the years.
The last few weeks have been nothing short of incredible for the longstanding supporter of South African horseracing, Khaya Stables’ Lady Laidlaw. And it’s been an impressive week for the black and yellow silks as the last 6 runners to date have yielded some notable results. There have been 4 winners and 2 seconds across 3 different racing jurisdictions.
Just under a month ago, it was Group 1 success for Khaya Stables (Pty) Ltd, GREEN WITH ENVY came with a storming run from the back of the field to win the SplashOut Cape Derby by just under 3 lengths.
Well-invested and vehement about this beautiful sport, Lady Laidlaw has been instrumental in making sure the Grooms Initiative has been successful. Khaya Stables have throughout the Cape Summer Season generously added several cash incentives to the winning grooms.
We at Cape Racing would like to take this opportunity to not only thank Lady Laidlaw and her powerful operation for her dedication and commitment to the equine athlete, grooms, jockeys, and trainers involved but would like to wish her and Jehan Malherbe the racing manager, all the very best for the Champions Season ahead.
